Good Drain to Foil connection Although the foil doesn't bind to the wire, we ensure that enough pressure is between the foil and drain wire for the oil to be well grounded Stiffened insulation The wire insulation is very slightly stiffened, just enough to help form and shape looms, making it easier to work. |
Jacket Bonding
ES jackets always strip with the foil in an easy, single strip action. To achieve this
we have to manufacture the jacket under pressure without the foil 'collapsing' and binding on the wires.
We developed this concept by ramming air under the foil so as to support it whilst the jacket was being applied.
The result is a well bonded jacket and foil that strips beautifully. Outstanding Electrical performance Kelsey ES EasyStrip gives electrical and audio performances that's very difficult to achieve in a cable of this size. We used a suite of techniques and materials from different disciplines such as HD-TV cables. If you want to see more about how the special dielectrics and techniques work, then go to our (Technology Centre). Tight Twisted Drain and conductors Tightly twisting the drain wire makes it easier to work with and solder. It also significantly improves IDC connectivity; - the tight twist gives the wire more 'body' so it doesn't collapse like a normal, loosely twisted wire. Effectively it behaves more like a flexible yet solid conductor. |
